I recently heard that Spectrum glass are ceasing production. Which is a great shame as this has been a very popular glass for many years and particularly for people starting out.
So, if you have a part finished project that is reliant on Spectrum – do make sure you get sufficient supplies in, as it will become increasingly difficult to find supplies of particular glass types. (Water glass type is one type where it may be difficult to obtain alternatives).
Hot on that news, apparently Bullseye are now facing issues relating to alleged environmental effects, over production of certain glasses – meaning that some glass types may possibly end production. So ditto – best to source anything you need now before supplies may run out.
(General advice on projects is to always to allow an extra quantity of glass – in case of breakage etc and subsequent difficulties in matching between batches).
